Adrianna Ricard, teacher at Hitchcock Primary School was awarded $1,500 in funds for her grant on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 from the Tanger Outlets’ TangerKids Grant Program.

In the spring of 2022, Ricard wrote a grant, “Empowering Students Through Character Education” as part of the TangerKids Grant Program. With this grant, Ricard is bringing a high-energy, live performance to Hitchcock Primary School.

“‘The Dennis Lee Production: X-Ray,’ will teach our young and impressionable students a wonderful message about exercising excellent character, expressing kindness daily and examining the exterior to get to the heart of the matter,” said Ricard. “This presentation will not only teach a strong, simple and concise lesson that everyone counts, everyone matters and everyone can make a difference, but it will also expose our students to the art of ventriloquism with a fun and engaging show.”

Teachers will also receive access to resources to extend the lesson beyond the show and into the classroom.

“I have personally attended previous shows by Dennis Lee and can speak first hand how relevant and entertaining each one can be,” said Ricard. “I am so excited for our students and staff!
